    Honda takes on Tesla with groundbreaking technology, no need to keep your eyes on the road

    Honda unveiled at the CES in Las Vegas that the future of mobility is sleek, lightweight, and ingenious, aiming to compete directly with giants like Tesla. These vehicles are still prototypes, but Honda announced they will be available in 2026. The standout feature of these models is their autonomous driving system, which will be the first to allow completely eyes-off driving in all circumstances.

    The Honda 0 Saloon and Honda 0 SUV will incorporate a Level 3 autonomous driving system. This will allow drivers to completely disengage from driving; however, in an initial phase, the system will only operate in highway and freeway traffic jams. Nonetheless, Honda promises that this system will expand to other terrains through over-the-air updates.

    The Japanese firm emphasized that the Series 0 cars will receive continuous updates without needing to visit a service center. This will allow customers to keep their cars always up-to-date. With these updates, Honda aims to offer an experience that allows the driver to completely disengage from driving, marking a significant advancement in the field of autonomous mobility.     

    Features and design of the Honda 0 Saloon and 0 SUV

    The Honda 0 Saloon is a sporty sedan with an elegant design, featuring a front end reminiscent of Lamborghini. Despite its compact appearance, its interior is highly customizable. This model will first arrive in the United States in 2026, then make its way to Europe and Japan. The Honda 0 SUV will be available in the first half of 2026 in North America, and is a mid-sized vehicle with a distinctive rear featuring a small vertical window.

    Both cars will come equipped with Honda’s exclusive operating system, called Asimo OS. This system will manage everything from automated driving to advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS)Asimo OS represents the evolution of Honda’s technology. With this operating system, the brand aims to offer a fully integrated and advanced driving experience.
